Webb Road Reconstruction Project Phase One

Lewiston and Lapwai, ID – A public meeting for Phase One of the Nez Perce County Webb Road Reconstruction Project is scheduled for the following dates: Tuesday, February 7th 2012 and Wednesday, February 8th 2012. The purpose of this meeting is to allow the project team and the public the opportunity to share information pertinent to the projects progress and completion. Currently, the project is in the preliminary design phase. This meeting will be held in an open house format. Project display boards and educational materials will be available for viewing. Displays will include preliminary roadway plans, ownership map, traffic control plans, aerial photo display, wetlands display, and roadway cross sections. The meeting on February 7th will be held in the Conference Room in the Lapwai City Hall, 315 S Main, Lapwai. The meeting on February 8th will be held in the Saloon (under grandstands) at the Tammany Round-Up Grounds, 2100 Tammany Creek Road, Lewiston. Interested participants are invited to attend.

Phase One (current project) is approximately 2.25 miles in length from the intersection of Tammany Creek Road, Waha Road, (MP 0.000) and Webb Road to the intersection of Webb Road with Webb Ridge Road (MP 2.250). Phase One involves roadway reconstruction and widening, minor realignment, paving, new guardrail, drainage improvements, bicycle/pedestrian improvements and right-of-way acquisition. Phase One also includes intersection improvements at the two intersections of Webb Road with Tammany Creek Road and Waha Road and with Webb Ridge Road. Nez Perce County is the sponsor for the project with the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) providing project administration.
