SICK LEAVE
Full-Time Regular Employee Accrual Rate
Sick leave benefits are provided to full-time regular employees at the rate of one day (8 hours) per month of full-time employment.
Part-Time Regular Employee Accrual Rate
Part-time regular employees accrue sick leave in proportion to their regularly scheduled hours. (Example: An employee regularly scheduled 20 hours per week would accrue 4 hours per month.)

Offered through the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho. Employee contribution rates are currently 6.71% - 9.83% of the gross wages, and employer contribution rates are 11.18% - 13.26%. (See PERSI link for additional info.)
Employees may participate in a number of investment and tax deferred savings plans with companies including: Voya (formerly ING), Nationwide Retirement and PERSI 401K.
The County pays the premium costs for eligible employees to receive the benefit of medical, vision and dental insurance. Regence BlueShield of Idaho provides our medical and vision insurance; dental is provided by Delta Dental. The employee may purchase additional insurance for spouse and dependents. The County will pay for 80% of the dependents’ medical/dental/vision coverage.

Delta Dental General Benefit Plan Summary
The County pays the premium for eligible employees to receive the benefit of a $15,000 life insurance policy and a $1,000 life insurance policy on each employee’s spouse and dependents. This plan is offered through Life Map Insurance Company. Additional life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment insurance can be purchased by the employee through Colonial Life or NCPERS Life.
The County pays the premium costs for eligible employees to receive the benefit of a cancer insurance plan. Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company provides the cancer insurance coverage. Employees may purchase additional insurance coverage.
The County supports a medical reimbursement program (HRA-VEBA) which pays out-of-pocket medical expenses up to $1,200 per year for eligible employees. Employees are responsible to submit claims and supporting documents to receive reimbursements. Employees receiving 80% of dependent medical premium cost from the County are not eligible to receive this benefit.
A confidential counseling program is available at no cost to the employee. This counseling service is available to the employee or any of the employee’s dependents. Provider information.
WELLNESS PROGRAMS
The County supports ongoing employee wellness events and programs. Some of these include our annual Flu Vaccination Clinic, Walking for Wellness Program and other employee wellness opportunuties.
