The UI/Nez Perce County Extension Office is a cooperative partnership among the county, the University of Idaho, and the United States Department of Agriculture. Its purpose is to provide help with issues and problems individuals, families, and communities face in daily living. Professional educators, located in county and district offices and on campus, provide existing and research-based knowledge and information through bulletins, classes, workshops and conferences.

What is a xeriscape garden?
The xeriscape garden is a low water use demonstration garden located next to the Nez Perce County Extension office in Lewiston, Idaho. The garden's purpose is to demonstrate traditional and alternative means of landscaping with low water use and drought tolerant plants.
