Building Permit Application Information

Nez Perce County requires building permits for new construction, remodels and additions to homes, manufactured home placement, commercial structures, accessory buildings, agricultural buildings and more. Contact Building Services at 208-799-3197 for county requirements.

Building Services provides assistance with various building issues and ensures compliance with the 2018 International Building Code®.

Downloadable applications are available below. Some applications are available in two formats - forms with fields to be filled in before printing and signing, or blank forms to print. Forms can also be picked up by visiting our office inside the Brammer Building located at 1225 Idaho Street in Lewiston, Idaho.

Valuations shown are MINIMUM values per square foot unless otherwise noted. The contract amount shall be used where it exceeds this table. Valuations are based on Building Valuation Data published in “Building Safety Journal", August 2014; Ordinance 4397.
